Fly To My Aid!

I'm in serious need of some help.

You see, there comes that time in everyone's like where they have to face it... college.

Fortunately (or not so fortunately, as you'll see) I'm only at the applying stage now.

So I get to the bottom of the applications... and I see this blaring at me:

MAJOR: _____________

Uhm... yeah. :?

I have no idea what I'm going to go to school for.

Anyone want to help?

I think you can put undecided...either way the first two years of college are just universal studies like english, history, math...etc...So you still have that time to decided what you want to major in. And remember you can always change your major (even though it make take you longer to finish school) or get a minor to go along with your major. Hope I helped!

True, you can do undecided for a bit...see what you like. It is a hard thing to figure out. At the moment, I'm majoring in English. :)

some places you can just put General. that's what my friend is. and like the others said, you can always change the major later on.

What are your favorite classes in school right now? What could you do for hours without getting bored? Would you mind sitting at a computer all day or do you need to be more active and social with big groups of people. I guess what in life do you really really like.

I always knew i wanted to do something art related and then my junior year of high school i took a graphic design class. I knew that's what i wanted to do. I went to college for it and now I'm working my first, real life, full time graphic design job. I also got a minor in photography. I guess since I already knew what i wanted to do that's not much help but i have a lot of friends that switched majors, one or more times and for the most part are glad they did.

If you can help it I'd suggest going in with a major, just put a lot of thought into it now. If you can't declare one then don't. But if you do it will get you through faster and you'll have a more even schedule.

Good luck!

I am actually planning on writing a post all about this very soon. I shall inform you when it's up, ok?

go for what you love--my last magazine's fashion editor was a business major. (majors almost don't matter unless you want to be a doctor or something VERY specific...)
