Contest: Mystery Prize # 1

Woohoo! I told you I had it in my mind to have another contest :]

This is the start of a series of contests.

However, unlike most contests, you won't know the prize of this one. Just that it's a book.

Ways to enter:
1) Leave me a comment ON THIS POST about your favorite book-turned-movie movie :]
2) Blog about this contest and link me.

You may be able to get extra entries in other ways, but you won't know if you're getting them or not. Just know that it's not favoritism--if one person gets extra entries doing a specific thing, anyone else who does that specific thing will also get extra entries.

I've got no definite end to this contest; it'll just end when one day I post and say "contest has ended" and announce a winner.

Please take notice:

Since this is a series of contests, if you win, you're not eligible to win in the immediately following mystery prize contest. So let's say you won the first one, so you can't win in the second one. But you can try again in the 3rd. If you're confused, just tell me lol and I'll try to make it clearer.

AND as a further note: Each mystery prize will probably be different, so don't rely on what others tell you about the prize.

Thanks! Now get to entering my contest :]

Oh, and I almost forgot. The odd numbered Mystery Prize contests are open to everyone, and the even numbered ones are limited to U.S. people.

Sorry I couldn't open all of them to everyone, but it gets pretty expensive mailing out of country all the time.

Oh, and I just finished reading The Summoning from Harper Teen's First Look. It was awesome! Just as a note if any of you got a copy, also.

//EDIT//

I forgot to mention!

You all already have an extra entry, if you choose to enter this contest for replying to my post about the contest ideas. Thanks, guys! They were helpful.

Woo a contest!

My favorite book turned movie? Woo... tough one. I think I'll be completely unoriginal and say Harry Potter. Simply because Harry Potter is amazing and the movies I can watch over and over again without getting bored.

Also, I'm posting about your contest on my blog =D

Yay for contests!
I'm going to say Pay It Forward although I haven't read the book and didn't know it was based on a book until I discovered Catherine Ryan Hyde. How sad is that? It is a really good movie though. I also think that Twilight should be good if all of the sneak peeks and trailers that are floating around are any indicator.

Woohoo! Yay, extra entry! Anyway, um...thanks for the contest! I love contests!

Favorite book-turned-movie? Pride and Prejudice! It follows the book so well. And uh, it's PRIDE AND PREJUDICE.

My favorite book turned movie has to be Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson. Both the book and the movie are equally moving, plus Kristen Stewart (who is playing Bella in the Twilight movie) starred in the Speak movie.

I can't wait to see what the prize is, whether i win or not. (I hate cliffhangers. lol.)

I didn't know there was a Speak movie.. will be looking into that.

My favorite book turned movie would be The Devil Wears Prada, I often enjoy a book version to a movie version but the movie totally kicked the book's butt in my opinion!

A Walk to Remember was awesome!

Ah man I meant to leave a comment about the contest ideas but I spaced. Oh well.

Please enter me in this one. I love a good mystery, especially when the mystery is a prize! lol

My favorite book turned movie would have to be umm, thinking here, A Walk To Remember and How To Deal, even though How To Deal is a combination of two of Sarah Dessen's books that still counts, lol.

Oh - I applied for The Summoning too - guess I didn't get it. I didn't get an e-mail from Harper this time telling me that I did or didn't get anything - but obviously I didn't. Can't wait to hear what you think about it.

There are so many great books turned into movies... I guess I am going to say "Thank you for Smoking" because I liked both but in different ways.

My fave book turned movie is The Notebook. I actually thought the book wasn't so great but the movie was amazing, a great love story. I also really liked Stardust it was really well done~!

Hmm favorite book turned movie, I think that my favorite might be the first Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants movie. The new movie comes out in August I can't wait to see it.

Oh yeah, Harry Potter.

oo! Cool contest! Very creative idea :) Please count me in!

I'd have to say Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe (the most recent version) & the Lord of the Rings trilogy are my favorite books-turned-movies since they followed the book pretty well and had amazing cinematography, special effects/CGIs, and some amazing scenery! It must've been lots of work to create all those different creatures and such, & I just loved all the action too! :)

Fav book turned into a movie?
Lord of the rings. for sure.
everytime i watch those movies im like woaaah. it always feels like theyre going after the book pretty well - which they probably dont do much better than other movies based on books. But a lot of it just feels so perfect. the setting, the actors, the actual movie...i just love it.

but ahhh. i jsut read some of the other ppls comments and i have to agree:
pride and prejudice, a walk to remember, the notebook, and narnia are all extremely well too.
(harry potter to me is just too off and crappy compared to the book. heh.)

My favorite book turned movie is Howl's Moving Castle, because the movie is way better than the book. (I don't like Diana Wynne Jones.)

I'm so jealous! I want to read The Summoning.
